  • 2 teaspoon Olive Oil
  • 1 medium-sized Onion
  • 3 clove Garlic
  • 28 ounce Canned Crushed Tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoon Tomato Paste
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Basil
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 1 whole Bay Leaf
  • 6 leaves Fresh Basil Leaves
  • 4 tablespoon Parmesan Cheese
  • 16 ounce Cooked Spaghetti
Instructions
  1. Heat olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, cook until onion becomes translucent.
  2. Add crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, black pepper, sugar, and bay leaf. Stir well.
  3. Bring the sauce to a simmer, then reduce the heat to low. Cover and let it cook for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Remove the bay leaf and add fresh basil leaves. Stir well.
  5. Serve the spaghetti sauce over cooked spaghetti and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
