Ingredients
  • 2 cup Blackberries
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 4 tablespoon Unsalted butter
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine blackberries, sugar, and lemon juice. Mix well and set aside.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Add milk to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  5. Melt butter in a 9-inch baking dish in the preheated oven.
  6. Pour the batter over the melted butter in the baking dish.
  7. Spoon the blackberry mixture evenly over the batter.
  8. Bake for 30 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the blackberries are bubbling.
  9. Remove from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes.
  10. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, if desired.
