  • 2 teaspoon Olive Oil
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 2 clove Garlic
  • 2 can Crushed Tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoon Tomato Paste
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Basil
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes
  • 1 handful Fresh Basil Leaves
  • 4 tablespoon Parmesan Cheese
Instructions
  1. Heat olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add onion and garlic, and cook until softened.
  3. Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, dried basil, dried oregano, sugar, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  4. Bring to a simmer and let cook for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Taste and adjust seasonings if needed.
  6. Stir in fresh basil leaves.
  7. Serve over cooked pasta and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
