Ingredients
  • 500 gram Tomatoes
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 2 clove Garlic
  • 2 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 10 leaves Basil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
Instructions
  1. Blanch the tomatoes in boiling water for 1 minute, then transfer to an ice bath. Peel off the skin and chop the tomatoes.
  2. Heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, and sauté until translucent.
  3. Add the chopped tomatoes, salt, black pepper, and sugar. Stir well and bring to a simmer.
  4. Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in the fresh basil leaves.
  6. Use a blender or immersion blender to puree the sauce until smooth.
  7. Serve the Bellissima Salsa Di Pomodoro with your favorite pasta or as a dip for bread.
