Ingredients
  • 2 cup Dried Split Peas
  • 2 medium Carrots
  • 2 stalks Celery
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 2 clove Garlic
  • 4 cups Vegetable Broth
  • 2 piece Bay Leaves
  • 1 teaspoon Thyme
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 2 cups Water
Instructions
  1. Rinse the dried split peas under cold water.
  2. Chop the carrots, celery, onion, and garlic.
  3. In a crock pot, combine the rinsed split peas, chopped vegetables, vegetable broth, bay leaves, thyme, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Add water to the crock pot and stir to combine.
  5. Cook on low heat for 8 hours or on high heat for 4 hours.
  6. Remove the bay leaves before serving.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy!
