Ingredients
  • 1.5 cup Basmati Rice
  • 1 cup Green Peas
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 1 inch Cinnamon Stick
  • 4 piece Cloves
  • 4 piece Cardamom Pods
  • 1 piece Bay Leaf
  • 2 tablespoon Ghee
  • 3 cup Water
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoon Coriander Leaves
Instructions
  1. Rinse the basmati rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. Soak the rice in water for 30 minutes, then drain.
  3. Heat ghee in a large pan and add cumin seeds, cinnamon stick, cloves, cardamom pods, and bay leaf. Sauté for a minute.
  4. Add chopped onions, ginger, and garlic. Sauté until onions turn golden brown.
  5. Add green peas and sauté for 2 minutes.
  6. Add the soaked and drained rice to the pan. Stir well to coat the rice with the spices.
  7. Add water and salt. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes or until the rice is cooked and the water is absorbed.
  8. Remove from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes.
  9. Fluff the rice with a fork and garnish with coriander leaves.
  10. Serve hot and enjoy!
