Ingredients
  • 1 cup Toor Dal
  • 1 bunch Spinach
  • 1 medium Tomato
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 2 piece Green Chili
  • 2 clove Garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard Seeds
  • 1 sprig Curry Leaves
  • 2 tablespoon Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
Instructions
  1. Wash and soak the toor dal for 30 minutes.
  2. Pressure cook the dal with turmeric powder, salt, and 2 cups of water for 4-5 whistles.
  3. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, and curry leaves.
  4. Add chopped onions, garlic, and green chilies. Saute until onions turn translucent.
  5. Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn soft.
  6. Add chopped spinach and cook until wilted.
  7. Mash the cooked dal and add it to the pan. Mix well.
  8. Add red chili powder and adjust salt as per taste.
  9. Simmer for 5 minutes and serve hot with rice or roti.
