Ingredients
  • 1.5 cup Basmati rice
  • 2.5 cup Vegetable broth
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 2 clove Garlic cloves
  • 2 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoon Parsley
Instructions
  1. Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Drain well.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, and sauté until softened.
  3. Add the rice to the saucepan and stir to coat the grains with the oil.
  4. Pour in the vegetable broth, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce the heat to low, cover the saucepan, and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed.
  6. Remove from heat and let the rice pilaf rest, covered, for 5 minutes.
  7. Fluff the rice with a fork and garnish with parsley before serving.
