Preheat the grill or toaster.

Slice the baguette into 1/2 inch thick slices.

Toast the baguette slices until golden brown.

Rub the garlic cloves on one side of each toasted baguette slice.

Dice the tomatoes and place them in a bowl.

Tear the basil leaves into small pieces and add them to the tomatoes.

Drizzle the olive oil and balsamic vinegar over the tomato mixture.

Season with salt and black pepper.
